Frequently Asked Questions

Are you seeing clients in person or only via telehealth?

Licensed in both California and Texas, I currently offer telehealth sessions only for individuals residing in CA and/or TX, via HIPPA compliant technology.

Do you take insurance?
No, I am not in-network with any insurance companies; however, I am happy to provide a superbill at the end of each month so that you can submit for potential reimbursement if your insurance reimburses for out-of-network mental health services.

How much will my insurance reimburse me?
This depends on your plan. The best way to find out is to call your insurance company directly, and ask them what they reimburse for out of network mental health providers. Make sure you ask if there is a deductible you need to meet before you can start receiving reimbursement.

Do you take sliding scale clients?
Yes, I have limited sliding scale fee spots available. Please contact me directly to discuss sliding scale options.

What is the cancellation policy?
I require 24 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment. Failure to give 24 hours notice will result in a charge of the full fee of your session.

What is your confidentiality policy?
Therapists have an ethical responsibility to respect the privacy of clients and the information they provide. Therapists are mandatory reporters which means we are obligated to report cases of child abuse, elderly abuse, dependent adult abuse, real threat of lethal harm to self and harm to others.

What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is simply a state of deeply focused concentration via relaxation, where the subconscious mind is more open to suggestion. By tapping into this part of the mind, you can make amazing progress towards changing unwanted behaviors and habits. As an aid to psychotherapy, hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation techniques to achieve intense concentration and a heightened state of awareness. During hypnosis, you remain fully aware and in full control; you are simply in a hyper-relaxed state.
